President Rich reminds all Rotarians that:
  1. Speaker next week (March) will be Allie Evangelista the new GM of the Meadows.
  2. April 21 will be Roadside Cleanup under the command of Bob Wicker at the Jessop Street Exit on I-70.
  3. June 1,2,3 DISTRICT CONFERENCE  - plan to attend all or at least some of the conference being held at the Doubletree on Racetrack Road.
  5. Pavilion Prints may be ordered – good way to help support and boost the Pavilion Funding
  6. President Rich announced he will not be here March 27 and April 3 but the “other guy” will be in charge

PROGRAM: Blue Prints

Program Chair, Susan Priest, introduced Jeff Fondelier from Blue Prints which was formerly known as Community Action Southwest.
They have instituted a program known as “A Little Lift” service in Washington and Greene Counties as well as in West Virginia. The purpose is to break barriers that limit people with basic economic needs. When a client needs assistance to succeed in life and a barrier is removed by lift with small donations by a number of people their success can then be realized. Those who are in need are the “working poor” who struggle with things we all take for granted.
Check out the progress online at: and contribute if you find a “need” that interests you.
This is a form of Crowd Sourcing which is effective by many helping with a little bit to accomplish much…Students from Chartiers-Houston and Trinity Middle School have set up funds through this program.
Look into the website and see what you think and then we will ask for your feedback.
Be careful on this first full day of Spring as shoveling snow can be hazardous to your health and so can driving!
