  • Mary Kay Miller: Murrysville
  • David Robinson: Mt. View, Greensburg

The essence of today’s meeting was to reflect on the memories/stories of Rotarians over the years with PRIP Chuck Keller.
The reflections were humorous and truly spoke of Chuck’s personality and it was felt he would have truly enjoyed the remarks.
The program opened with the showing of the 1988 Rotary International Convention in Philadelphia.
This was Chuck’s Year and he led the movement to begin the raising of funds to fight and to end polio throughout the world. Thanks to the funds raised in that year by the U.S. Clubs eventually it was matched and met and far exceeded the initial goal.
We thank Assistant Governor Pat Shaffer for providing the DVD. Pat also commented that one of Chuck’s achievements was editing the book A Century of Service.
Oh yes, a good point of Rotary Trivia…his year admitted women to Rotary!
