ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. FINALLY here, TRIVIA NIGHT  on Friday March 8
Kathy Sabol (fearless leader) announced that 42 teams are registered. Set-up starts between 3:30 and 4:30  for those who volunteered to help with set-up.
ALL other WORKERS 5:00-5:30.
Brandi and Susan and Nan are always open to donations for the “auction” items and will accept whiskey and wine to pair with restaurant gift cards. It will be a GREAT NIGHT to benefit “favorite charities” and our Rotary programs all aimed at improving Washington County.
REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR ROTARIAN AT WORK shirts. The reason for these shirts is to make you easier to find if you are needed in a hurry but also PROMOTES our Club. You are an integral part of a great group of people so let the world know it!
  1. Joe Manning announced that City Council has approved the naming of the Community Pavilion to the ROTARY PAVILION to recognize the efforts of the Rotary Club. Any time limit? To be determined.
  2. Someone told President Bill that today was JOE PISZCZOR’s Birthday and he took it well. Joe is a busy, active member of our Club along with being a Past President…a force to be dealt with!

HAPPY DOLLAR$$$$$$$

  • Susan Priest: IC has a Fish Fry but her church has Pancakes all day at Trinity Church … OH that’s Today, Ash Wednesday.
  • Phil Rush: happy his sugar level has dropped after a scare (Dr. said let’s have you take some meds). Let’s congratulate Phil as obviously he has altered his diet and perhaps many of our “readers” have had that same conversation.
  • Erin Jones: remembered it’s JOE’s Birthday
  • Brandi Miller: says “Happy Birthday to Good OLD Joe”
  • Kathy Sabol: an apology $$ for missing meetings and it is all the fault of the Winter Bench Bar activities BUT beware she’s back and “all fired up”. We were about to put out a Missing Person’s Alert but happy we didn’t have to!
  • Tom Drewitz: spent the weekend with family in D.C. and “Joe getting older” but then aren’t we all….
  • Ken Baker: supporting the jazz brunches and mentioned that last week’s W&J Jazz group did a great job; introduced Tom Millhollan, Operations and Development Coordinator for the Washington County Historical Society and announcing tge 5thAnnual Hall of Fame Awards Banquet.
  • Joe Piszczor aka Birthday Boy admits to 35 years and admits his best experiences and friends have come with his membership in Rotary.
  • Tom Northrop: has both D and R petitions to support Traci McDonald Kemp.
  • John Quale: promotes the I.C. Fish Fry every Friday during Lent (except Good Friday) and John and Bill Mesler will be “in charge” and Mike Pecosh will be cleaning up. There was some confusion, did John say FAT TUESDAY was his Holiday, named after him OR did he pass that to Mike???
  • Mike Pecosh: then countered with “my fat____” just fell through his broken chair….sabotage?
  • Joe Manning: promotes his March 23 Pur$e Auction…hopes some Rotarians will support
  • Tripp Kline: had $1 to support the Historical Society $2 to support “Luck of the Irish” event at Red Pump to benefit the Bradford House on March 15 from 8-10pm for only $10 at the door
  • Jim Uram: loves Duquesne basketball and reports that brother Tom and wife Lynn spent their anniversary with their 8 kids (dogs). Congratulations all around!
  • Bill Allison: expressed both sympathy and support for Mike Pecosh
