Cash Bash

Joe and Rich talked about the details on the cash bash.  We were supposed to profit $5,000 (budgeted)
$7,000 expenses 
How did we do!?!


Prior to the events, we sold 300 tickets
560 total tickets sold, and over 200 people at the event.

Congratulations to Joe and everyone!

Andrew Goudy
From Dover Delaware, taught at the University of Delaware for 34 years (chemistry)
Graduated from Trinity High (Not Washington)
Retired and moved back to be home with his family 2 brothers and 4 sisters
Happy to be here, going on a cruise next week to the Caribbean,  he is very excited and can’t wait to get involved. 
We are just like his Rotary back home!

  • Dave Hart: Wanda is doing well, also His jacket picked up ladies sunglasses at the cash bash, if you are missing them, he has them!
  • Kathy Sabol: Nationalization Ceremony was held by U.S. Citizenship and the Bar Association, 2nd Annual Read the Constitution will be held on the Court House Steps on Friday from 12:00pm-12:45pm, 125th Anniversary for the Bar Association-Gala will be held $125.00 a ticket on October 20 at the Court House
  • Ken Baker: won $200 at the Cash Bash, Very excited about the Jazz Brunch, excited to see Dave, Dan and Clay, they have a CD and are on Sirius Radio
  • Mike Pecosh- Thankful to be back and Thankful for everyone their kind wishes.
  • Christy Rowing: son named Captain of his Crew Team “Captain Jack”, Daughter named editor of her paper, June 16th approved for the Founding Fathers 5K on June 16
  • Susan Priest: thanked the Credit Union for letting her money go so she could pay her bills: Thankful to see so many Rotarians on the OR Best list, she voted for her fellow Rotarians 
  • Nan Sninsky : Just HAPPY...Put another dollar in because someone thought she lost it and she really didn’t
  • Karen Reese:thankful that her family (brother and family) are o k in Charleston SC.  They lost power, but are doing well
  • Dorothy T.:Thanked Joe P for the wonderful cash bash: $5.00 for John T.’s Birthday, everyone sang!
  • Betsy West: invited everyone to Spirits in the Garden on September 30th, tickets are $40.00, there will be tastings and heavy appetizers
  • Andrew Goudy: happy to be a part of the club
  • Joe P.: thanked everyone again, he appreciated the whole club getting together and helping
  • John Hopper-: thanked Bill for the introduction to cash bash: recovery drop in center just got a grant from the Washington Community Foundation YAY!
  • Tom Drewitz--happy dollar for the wonderful cash bash: 50 year anniversary coming up this weekend!!! Congrats!!!
  • Bob Hillberry: won twice in the cash bash, way to go, he only participated in one drawing!
  • Bill Mesler-congratulated everyone for the cash bash: excited for John Campbell joining him for lunch: excited for his son to join him at a steelers game, then coming back in September with his family to visit
  • Jim Uram-thanked his fellow Rotarians for reminding him that he turned 68 last Thursday
  • Kathy Sabol- reminded everyone about the Community Foundations Annual Giving Day for Betsey Trew
  • Shirley Moore: Family in Florida is doing well and their friends are doing good as well
  • Rich P.: Thanked everyone again for the Cash Bash, he was so excited, Thanked Joe for his persistence -Thanked the club for their part and participation -Vote for Mary Jo and her series of books in the OR contest
  • John Campbell: 4th grade donation to the Washington Park, tickets are $5.00, half will go to the students and half will go to the pavilion!!!

Program: Brother's Brother

Speaker: PDG Andy Uram on Brothers Brother Foundation (speaker was  busy helping the victims of the hurricanes and couldn’t make it)
Founded background 1976 inoculated 300,000 shots to 100,000 patients.
1983 went to Jamaica with Tom and Jim attended a Rotary meeting, it looked like an International Assembly
Superintendent came in and asked for help!
Andy asked if we could help. He contacted Trinty HS and asked for help! They provided extra books to be sent to Jamaica. Andy 
contacted  Brother Brothers foundation and got the books on a tanker
Customs officer was a Rotarian, had no trouble
Got them to the school district😊
