HAPPY $$$$$:

  • Dorothy Tecklenburg happy for the Steeler win and the exciting Clemson win; ran into Gene Steratore at the airport when flying out of Atlanta (Gene told her she missed a great meeting).
  • Tom Drewitz happy for today’s great attendance and glad to be back out to Rotary.
  • Erv Leppert always happy to be busy and he is always busy!
  • Bill Price happy to recognize Joe Gisoni on his birthday (January 11) and he is “88 and going great”.
  • Susan Priest happy to recognize Susan Price for the great club Christmas party.
  • Susan Price and I forgot to write what hers was but she did give a dollar!
  • Mike Pecosh happy to be back after travel delays over the New Years weekend….enjoys travel but getting stuck in a strange airport.
  • Bill Mesler had a great visit with his son in San Jose and Lake Tahoe
  • Mark Kuchera got his first flu shot and became very ill along with his daughter who made it back to college and hopefully took the germs with her???
  • Tom Gladden has a “strange” dollar. The TV remote in their bedroom well, just ask Tom for the details but it involved his wife asking him to come to the bedroom and something about Spanish???
  • Tripp Kline dollar$$ to recruit volunteers for Trivia Night and all other Club events
  • John Rodgers to recognize and honor his parents on his Dad’s birthday.  John’s father has been recognized for his activities and age in the O-R and now the Post-Gazette has gotten on the train!
  • Andy Uram phoned in his pleasure in receiving a card celebrating his many years as a Rotarian...40! Thanks to Paula Leppert for her "Family of Rotary" service.

1.  Board meeting next week, January 17, following the regular meeting and a potential new member will be interviewed.

2. Weight Loss Challenge will return and with new criteria….be prepared!

3. Dave Hart recognized Susan Price for reaching another level of Foundation giving.

PROGRAM:Rachel Lozosky

Rotarian Rachel Lozosky of Peacock Keller presented an interesting, informative program on Employment Law.  Rachel used a series of case situations in the workplace and encouraged everyone to identify “mythbusters.” Rachel made the presentation fun by making involving her “audience.”

The "photographer" was too interested in the presentation to remember his job.

Great job Rachel and Peacock Keller and the Washington Rotary Club are fortunate to have you. Thank you!
