PROGRAM: Introduction to Counseling

Rotarian Mike Pecosh delivered his “long awaited” talk about his role as a counselor. Using an outstanding set of “flip charts”**
Mike explained that counseling is a “professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.”
Mike pointed out there are many paths to wellness and counseling is one of them helping his clients face and sort through their paths.
This was an outstanding presentation that enlightened the audience about the training and role of a counselor.
** well illustrated by our own Park Burroughs

Thanks to Susan and Bill Price for the club notes and to Erin Jones for the speaker photo.
