PROGRAM: DG Steve and the district conference

DG Steve Arnowitz gave an update and the plans for District Conference.
The theme is “Around the World.”
Rooms are $109 per night and that includes breakfast.
The Conference will be family friendly.
There will be 2 Hospitality Suites each night hosted by various clubs with a variety of theme (this should be fun).

If you can only attend some events, Steve recommends the lunches and dinners.
Friday night dinner will be more casual and “pool side” while Saturday evening will be more formal with the Parade of Governors.
The lunches are highly recommended in particular Friday will have Gene Steratore as the keynote speaker.

Saturday, at the Youth Luncheon the speaker will be Rep. Conor Lamb stressing the involvement of youth and the need for service.
The thought that is due to his being the age he is there might be a better connection with the young people.

There will be additional information coming on the District Conference and the tri-fold invitations will be out within the next 10 days.

   -------------------------------------------------------------------
HOPEFULLY someone will be willing to take notes next week in order to have a WASHINGTONIAN…PDG Tom is teaching next Tuesday and the regular scribes are running away from home for a few days. Just email any notes to Tom Drewitz and he will craft the newsletter!
